Well, I recently bought the new HP Mini 110 Netbook and it’s been pretty excellent. I’ve had it for about 3 months now and haven’t really run into any problems.

The HP Mini 110 Netbook came equipped with Windows 7 Starter edition. For persons of you not familiar with the Windows 7 Starter edition, it’s just a a basic, trimmed down version of Windows 7 for the Netbooks. To back track even more, for persons of you not really familiar with the purpose of a Netbook, well other than being light, compact and simple to carry around, a netbook’s main purpose is for surfing the net. So it has minimal software other than persons necessary. In fact, I recommend vacant owing to your programs on your netbooks and deleting anything you might not need. That’s how they make these things so tiny. You won’t be able to make a touch as small for the regular notebooks and laptops that have all the graphics, processing and other mumbo jumbo.

So yeah, my HP 110 Mini Netbook is pretty quick. I get to surf the net at high speeds with no problems. I haven’t really used it for anything else. Though I have noticed it slowing down just a tad bit when I have a lot of programs open. But again, this may be fixed simply by plugging in a USB drive. The new netbooks allow you to plug in USB drives and use it as RAM. This again, helps speed up your tiny netbook while maintenance it tiny.

Oh and the cool thing about the HP Mini Netbook is that it has amazingly long battery life. My battery can last a full 8 hours.hp mini 1101 mini 110 xp and mini 110 mi netbooks black swirl drivers pavilion netbook HP Mini 110 Netbook Review

Things you do need to get used to though are the tiny screen and the tiny keyboard. It really won’t take long to get used to it. I still highly recommend it. You can always plug in your larger monitor into the output switch for the netbook when you’re home. But this netbook is so light and so simple to carry around that you’ll really forget all the minor inconveniences.

I like it since I’m a writer, a blogger and an avid net surfer. So carrying this around, instead of my ancient brick… oh, I mean my ancient mainframe is so much better for my shoulders and back. It’s probably better for everyone else as well as I’m sure I was about to throw that brick… I mean, that ancient giant, gray mainframe at someone for being so gray. My HP Mini Netbook probably saved me from rage management classes as well….

And thus, the Netbook vs Mainframe war has finished, with the netbook clearly on top (for persons who don’t really need all that other stuff and just want to surf the net). Let me know if you have a Netbook review you want to share as well in the comments section below….
